9785 Whiting Mixed metals Sterling Fruit Bowl

Circa 1880

A pristine Whiting hammered sterling silver fruit bowl with applied silver and mixed metals. The front of the bowl has a large applied bird and copper buds on a silver branch. The applications have engraved detail to highlight the motif. There are three areas of applied mixed metals and all of them have engraved work. Marked with the Whiting lion logo. Never monogrammed.
