H579 S Kirk & Son 11 Ounce Silver Chambersticks

Circa 1870

A large pair of rare S Kirk & Son antique silver chambersticks with the 11 ounce mark on the base. The circular bases are hand chased with a repousse floral pattern leaving a clear cartouche never having been monogrammed. The applied handles are the most interesting feature of the pair having a Norwegian influence looking as if the were made by Moller of Norway. A great combination of design and a sophisticated look.

These are large chambersticks with a diameter of 6" and a hefty weight of 23 troy ounces for the pair.
