9435 Tiffany Early Sterling Salad Tongs

1865-1870

A solid sterling two part salad tongs that pulls apart at the bayonet fitting in the center. The handle has a cast double eagle motif with a textured surface showing feathers on wings. The bowl and tines have a gold wash. Marked and numbered with the Tiffany mark and the M for moore 1865-1870. This piece was made by Moore for Tiffany & Company.
