T9443 Tiffany Etched Antique Sterling Hammered Tea Caddy

Circa 1881

An unusual large Tiffany hammered and etched tea caddy by Tiffany and Company dated 1881. This is an anniversary presentation for a 25 year.It is also a custom order from Tiffany & Co with the monograms of the presentation acid etched on the base. The spot hammering throughout is very fine and in perfect crisp condition. The floral etching is finely detailed and above the hammering. The dome shaped lid pulls off and there is an original interior cap, also hammered with a swirl design. Pristine condition. The design is bound together with a partially gold washed ring at the center.
