Made by Janna Thomas for Neiman Marcus this amazing and spectacular pineapple box is an engineering marvel. The pieces are individually cast and assembled with remarkable detail. There is a special satin finish on the surfaces giving off a special effect of a natural look. Fit for a museum of modern art this seems to be quite a rare item and not too many on this scale seem to have been made. The interior is double skinned and the craftmenship of the construction shows through. There is a special pin to lock the top into place when it is put on. The weight is 190 troy oz and it not meant to be moved around too much.
