N9013 English Silver Salts of Boer War Interest Birmingham 1899
A set of four hallmarked English silver hat shaped salts in the original fitted box lined with satin. The salt spoons are made in the shape of rifles. The hats are quite large and cannot be projected properly in photographs. The salts have a light gold wash remaining. British and Colonial soldiers wore hats like this in Africa during the Boer war in South Africa.
Hallmarked Birmingham 1899. Maker TW. The hats are 4" long. 2 5/8" wide.
