A Gorham coin silver salver on four applied feet with ornate border, engraved and engine turned decoration on the flat surface as well as a monogram in the center. There is an inscription on the underside that reads "Presented to Moses Brown Ives Goddard as requested by his uncle, Moses Brown Ives, May 1857". Moses Brown Ives was the president of Providence Bank, RI and a trustee of Brown University. Length 17 3/4" by 13"; weight 45.85 troy oz. Retailed by S.T. Crosby & Co. of Boston.
