RG006 Gorham Sterling Canoe Form Sauce Boat

A sterling silver sauce boat in the form of a canoe with a standing cherub as a handle holding two oars. There is a band of bright cut engraving on the spout and along the edges of the bowl. The intricately hand pierced keel serves as the foot balanced by the two oars on the side. Length 7 3/4"; height at the cherub 4 1/2". Weight 6.4 troy oz. Good condition and never monogrammed. The sauce boat has an early date letter of 1871 in addition to the Gorham marks.
