Elkington Neo Classical Ornate Electroform Compote

Circa 1860

An antique electroform silver plated compote by Elkington of England weighted in the base with pitch. The circular dish at the top unscrews and is decorated with the most ornate classical scenes, buildings and figures. The underside of the top is also decorated as is the ornate pedestal with multiple ram heads.
