Kerr sterling chatelaine

N4740 Rare Kerr Sterling Silver Chatelaine Circa 1890

A complete American sterling silver chatelaine by William Kerr of Newark NJ. Excellent detail and condition with the original satin finish intact. The hanging parts are engraved with the same initial and date and include a writing booklet, pill box, perfume bottle in the form of a dragon, match safe and a needle holder that is too tight to open. The Chatelaine would be pinned to clothing with the long pin on the reverse the winged cherub bar. Length: 8 1/4" to the tip of the perfume bottle.
