This novelty antique sterling silver chamber stick by Howard and company is dated 1882. The candle holder can be would down into the coil by turning the small handle. The larger handle is for lifting and handling the item. The base is a hand hammered thee leaf clover. the are three twisted legs on the bottom of the clover base and a hand wrought curved handle. The items is entirely hand wrought. Very unusual item by a quality silver manufacturer. Ht 5 7/8" W 9.35 tr ounces.
