N4179 English sterling Silver Desk Ink Stand

A smart sterling silver desk inkwell with a gadrooned edge on the tray, bottles and box. The four feet are heavy guage and have a claw on top of a large ball. Each bottle has an intertwined Gothic monogram. The hinged container at the center is inscribed "The Hon. R Watson from City Club, St John's, NF in grateful recognition of 20 years services as hon. secretary." Measures 9" by 6 1/2".
