English silver figural cigar lighter
 

N3947 Rare English Silver Figural Novelty Cigar Lighter

A rare sterling silver cigar lighter made in Birmingham England in1911. The lighter is in the form of a comical figure seated with crossed legs and arms than protrude from the sides to support the body. The top pulls off for filling. A wick would thread through the hole in the top and conduct the fluid to the top. Marked with a registered number and full marks. The maker is visible but the first letter is struck on a curve and not clear. Height: 3". Weight: 1.8 troy ounces.
