H4565 American Antique Sterling Silver Tureen

A large full size sterling silver soup tureen dated 1865 marked Henry Brown of Providence R I. and 925 sterling. The tureen has applied decorative bands of ivy on the pedestal base, the rim of the tureen base and the lid. The finial bolts to the lid with the original silver bolt. The handles have hinged swinging drops on each side of the tureen. Monogrammed with a small script monogram on the front side of the tureen. Length: 16" Height: 12 1/2" at the finial. Weight: 81.35 troy ounces.
