A pair of modernist sterling silver candlesticks by the renowned silversmith Kurt Matzdorf. Height 6 1/4"; combined weight 10.50 troy oz.

Note: Kurt Matzdorf was born in Stadtoldendorf, Germany in 1922 and moved to London in 1939 on a children's transport. He came to the US in 1949 and taught at the State University of New York College at New Paltz after receiving an art degree in London. He died in 2008.
