1617 Pair of Sterling Covered Dishes

A pair of finely chased Philadelphia sterling footed covered dishes. The floral chasing is extremely fine and there are faces on the applied cast feet. Both bases are marked sterling and Bailey Banks and Biddle. On one base below the sterling mark the maker mark of Krider of Philadelphia is visible. This would be the manufacturer, and the date would be betweem 1860 and 1875. 8 3/4" square. Height with the finial: 6" Combined weight: 91 troy ounces
