H8005 Pair Gorham Indian Style Tureens

A pair of unusual antique sterling Indian style covered tureen by Gorham circa 1882. The lids are chased with fine feathers pointing outwards and have a large ornate finial. There is a large floral chased band of decoration at the center bordered by engraved bands. The handles and feet incorporate symbols taken from Indian temples and are quite unusual. The pair in fabulous condition with preserved surfaces. The lids fit tightly.

Length 12 1/2" by 7" by 6" tall.
