FH19 Gorham Hizen Gravy Ladle

Circa 1880

A fine quality Gorham Hizen antique sterling silver gravy ladle measuring 7 1/2" with a weight of 2.45 troy ounces. Parcel gilded decoration with hammering showing crabs, peonies and plants on the handle with remarkable detail on the reverse of the handle as well. Monogrammed and marked on the handle. Chased with a bird in flight in the bowl. The bowl is gold washed in the area where chasing is absent.
