Gorham Buttercup All Silver Breakfast Knives

A set of 18 Gorham sterling Buttercup pattern flat all silver knives, 8 1/3" long. These knives must have been special ordered for the European market, and they have no Gorham factory mark. They are all crested with an elk in the cartouche at the top of the handle. 17 of the 18 knives have French 1st purity hallmarks and one has a patent date or 1900 together with "sterling silver" and a London import hallmark with GM & Co being the sponsor of the London Assay mark. So if you want something that nobody else has in the Gorham Buttercup pattern these knives will be just that. The knives have 28 troy ounces of silver in them.
