*Squirrel and Bird Nut Scoop

A finely detailed nut scoop with applied twigs and leaves and a bird perched on the partially hooded pierced bowl. The inside of the bowl is gold washed. Applied to the top of the handle is a cast squirrel eating an acorn. This piece is marked sterling only but is probably by Whiting. Length 10"; weight 3.85 troy ounces.
