Important Set of 12 Gorham Champleve Knives Circa 1880

A magical set of twelve knives with sterling champleve enamel block handles decorated on both sides with ornate symmetrical and angular panels of a combination of solid and shaded enamel in a Byzantine style and all in excellent condition. The blades are the original silver plated steel blades each marked Gorham Manufacturing Co. Hallmarked sterling on the satin finished handles which also have a single letter monogram R on the side of each block handle. Length: 8 3/4". Numbered style 65. Museum quality pieces.
