Gorham Egyptian Oyster Ladle

A sterling silver ladle circa 1870 in the Egyptian pattern by Gorham measuring 13" with a weight of 5.05 troy ounces. The terminal has a large cast three dimensional sphynx head and the handle has silver wire wrapped in two places and applied ivy leaves at the junction with the deep bowl.
