EX8028 Rare and Important Fish Servers by Whiting

A rare and important fish serving set by Whiting designed by Charles Osborne in about 1880. Hammering, chasing, acid etching and applied seahorses make up this museum quality oversize set of antique sterling silver fish servers. The blade is engraved 1889, July 4th with the name of a sloop called "Eurybia" the winner of a race at the Larchmont Yacht Club. So the set has some maritime history as well as the amazing design features.
