T5495 Tiffany Sterling Antique Double Tea Caddy

A special Tiffany antique sterling tea caddy in the shape of a picnic basket. Applied Greek Key borders and very fine engraved bands of decoration including a band of tea leaves with a beautiful Victorian monogram in the center. The hinges are of the highest quality being recessed and virtually invisible. Marked clearly on the base with the Tiffany 550 Broadway mark and the M for Moore used between 1854 and 1870. 5 1/4" long by 3 1/2" wide. 5" tall to the handle. Weight: 18.4 troy ounces.
