C5352 Pair Coin Silver Ewers by Marquand, NY c1835

A pair of coin silver ewers by Frederick Marquand of New York with ornate handle, floral bands along the top of base and chased acanthus leaves forming a wreath of roses and leaves around a central monogram EMK on the front of the pitchers. Engraved under the spout. Height 14 1/2"; combined weight 78 troy ounces.

Provenance: Sam Wagstaff collection sold at Christies NY 1989 and prior to that contents of Chateau-Sur-Mer. Residence of Edith M.K. Westmore and Maude A.K. Westmore.
